Nestled in the heart of Melrose Park, El Asadero stands out as a beloved Mexican gem, capturing the essence of authentic cuisine with every dish. Patrons rave about the grilled chicken, celebrated for its simple yet remarkable seasoning. Nick Garcia’s praise highlights its consistent quality, a staple that keeps customers returning for more. Tacos are another standout, with Bev Sanchez declaring them "to die for," further complemented by the homemade horchata, which has become a crowd favorite. The handmade tortillas, while soft, have garnered mixed feedback for their subtle flavors. Cas R found them delightful but desired a more robust taste. However, the plentiful servings and varied menu, including chicken gorditas and the recommended pollo asado, balance this aspect well. Alejandro Corona emphasizes the warm and friendly service, making it a welcoming destination, especially on quieter weekdays when the crowd is less overwhelming. Overall, El Asadero is an inviting spot for those craving satisfying portions and traditional flavors. With generous offerings like their $5.99 enchiladas and $6.49 tortas, it’s a culinary haven where the love for Mexican cuisine shines through in every bite. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, El Asadero is a must-visit for flavorful, hearty dishes that feel like home.

The best thing in the menu is their grilled chicken, super basic, well seasoned chiken over a fire. I've had this several times, it never disappoints.

This tacos are to die for! They are the best you will ever have. The employees are so sweet. Their horchata is always consistently great. The chicken goridtas is my favorite.

Plenty of food and good quality. Tortillas were handmade, soft and warm but not as flavorful as I thought it would be, corn taste is subtle.

One of the best places to get a pollo asado and tampiquena.. I been coming here for almost 3 years.. I know weekends are extremely busy. So the best day to stop for me is a week day. Very friendly people working here.. cantarito drink is my favorite

Hand made tortillas. The tacos I had were probably the best I’ve had in the last few years!

One of the best places to eat tacos in the area. I dinned in here on a busy sunday. It was packed with many customers. I ordered the asada tacos. It was good. I would definitely comeback
